andrew: you know that point in your life when you realize that the house you grew up in isn't really youre home anymore.
i mean all of a sudden, even though you have someplace where you put your shit, that idea of home is gone
sam: i still feel at home in my house.
andrew: you'll see, one day when you move out, it just sorta happens one day and it's gone. and you thought you could never get it back, it's like you feel homesick for a place that doesn't even exist.
or maybe its like this right of passage y'know. you won't ever have that feeling again until you create a new idea of home for yourself, y'know, for, your kids, for the family you started, it's like a cycle or something like that.
i dunno, i miss the idea of it y'know.
maybe that's all family really is,
a group of people who miss the same imaginary place.

sam: you know what i do when i feel completely unoriginal?
andrew: what?
sam: *gets up and makes crazy noises and movements*
i make a noise or do something that noone has ever done before and then i can feel unique again, even if its only for like, a second.
andrew: so noone's ever done that?
sam: no, not in this spot no. you just witnessed a completely original moment in human history. it's refreshing, you should try it.
andrew: oh, no, no, that's alright.
sam: c'mon.
andrew: no, no, i think that was good enough for the both of us.
sam: c'mon, what are you, shy?
this is your one opportunity to do something that noone has ever done before and that noone will copy again throughout human existence, an-and if nothing else, you'll be remembered as the one guy who ever did this, this one thing.

rob: i'm not the smartest guy in the world, but i'm certainly not the dumbest.
i mean, i've read books like "the unbearable lightness of being" and "love in the time of cholera", and i think i've understood them.
they're about girls, right?
just kidding.
but i have to say my all-time favorite book is johnny cash's autobiography "cash" by johnny cash.

alice: a man came into the cafe this morning and he said, 'hey waitress, what are you waiting for?'
dan: funny guy.
alice: and i said, 'i'm waiting for a man to come in here and fuck me sideways with a beautiful line like that.'
dan: what did he do?
alice: he asked for a cup of tea with two sugars.

bridget: resolution #1-will obviously lose 20 lbs.
#2-always put last night's panties in the laundry basket
equally important-will find nice sensible boyfriend and stop forming romantic attachments to any of the following: alcoholics, workoholics, sexaholics, commitment-phobics, peeping toms, megalomaniacs, emotional fuckwits, or perverts.
